Your court.
Your judges.
One connected system.

Bring live judge input, clear audience scores and operator control to your next Taekwondo competition.

Local Wi-Fi scoringAndroid + browser backupNo electronic scoring protectors required

Built around the judge

See the action. Submit the decision.

Large blue and red scoring targets keep head, body and punch inputs within reach. Judges tap for normal techniques and swipe for turning techniques, while their assigned judge number and connection status remain visible.

01

Put ordinary equipment to work

A PC, Android tablets and a private router support manual judge scoring without electronic scoring protectors.

02

Keep matches local

Live scoring runs on your local network. No match-time internet or cloud connection is required.

03

Give judges a fallback

Judges can use the Android application or the browser interface connected to the same scoring server.

The operator stays in control

One dashboard for the match.

Manage the clock, Gam-jeom, score corrections, replay requests and confirmed round results. Compact judge indicators show connection status alongside the scoring board.

A clear view for your audience

Let everyone follow the match.

Extend the PC desktop to a TV or projector to show live scores, timers, round wins and replay indicators.

How everything connects

One court. One local network.

Connection diagram: operator PC and judge tablets connect through a private router; the PC feeds the audience display through HDMI; an optional IVR PC connects over the local network
Standard manual-scoring setup. The IVR system is an optional separate integration.

From pairing to live scoring

  1. Connect: put the PC and tablets on the same private network.
  2. Approve: install the CA certificate, pair each tablet and approve its assigned judge position.
  3. Test: check scoring controls before the match.
  4. Score: two matching judge inputs within the configured agreement window award points under the standard profile.
  5. Confirm: review corrections and penalties, then confirm the round result.

Suggested setup per court

  • PC: Windows 11, dual-core CPU, 4 GB RAM and 2 GB free application storage; 8 GB RAM preferred.
  • Tablets: Android 8+ with an updated WebView; 2 GB RAM and an 8-inch landscape screen suggested.
  • Judges: three tablets for the usual panel; two-judge operation is also supported, with both required to agree.
  • Network: private Wi-Fi router, reliable court coverage and no client isolation.
  • Display: optional HDMI TV or projector.

Hardware figures are deployment guidance rather than benchmarked minimum limits. The current source package requires Python 3.12 on the server. Initial downloads need internet access; live match scoring does not. Advantages relate to manual-scoring use and are not a claim that every feature is unique to this system.

Practical match control

The tools your court team needs.

For the operator

  • Prepare athlete details and operate a best-of-three match.
  • Start and pause the round clock, manage rest time and confirm round winners.
  • Use plus and minus controls to correct scores and penalties.
  • Apply normal Gam-jeom immediately; during the final ten seconds, select the applicable penalty treatment in the confirmation dialog.
  • Manage coach and referee video review requests. A rejected coach request affects the coach’s review entitlement; a referee request does not use it.
  • Run Test Mode to check judge controls before competition.

For the judges and audience

  • Large Chung and Hong head, body and punch controls.
  • Assigned judge numbers and visible connection indicators.
  • Android app scoring with a browser backup interface.
  • A separate audience view with live scores, clock and round results.
  • Yellow clock warning and sound during the final ten seconds.
  • Operator-confirmed winner announcements on the display.

Secure local connections

Pair, approve and check before you start.

Install the server’s CA certificate on each client using the server’s certificate download option. Verify the certificate fingerprint, pair the device and let the operator approve its judge assignment. Certificate installation requires the user’s confirmation in the device or operating-system settings.

🟢 Green

Connected and responsive.

🟡 Yellow

Delayed connection or approval still required. Check the device before continuing.

🔴 Red

Connection lost. Restore the connection before relying on that judge’s input.

Use a private WPA2/WPA3 network, disable client isolation and keep the server address stable. A wired connection between the PC and router is preferred. Test the full setup at the venue before competition.

Why choose TKD WiFi Kyorugi?

A practical choice for manual-scoring events.

Use familiar equipment

Build the court around a Windows PC, compatible Android tablets and a private router.

Reduce specialist hardware needs

No electronic headgear, chest protectors or scoring gloves are needed for this manual-scoring workflow.

Keep decisions visible

The operator oversees judge connections, corrections, penalties and confirmed round results.

A backup way to score

The browser interface provides another route to the same local scoring server.

Keep spectators informed

The audience display separates a clear scoreboard from the operator’s controls.

Plan more than one court

Additional multi-court licence discounts help organisers plan larger events. Each court needs an appropriately configured scoring setup.

These are practical advantages for manual-scoring competitions, rather than independently benchmarked claims against every competing product. Electronic sensor systems serve different competition requirements. No governing-body approval is implied.

Before your first event

Equipment and installation checklist.

  • Server screen: 1280 × 720 or higher suggested.
  • Tablet screen: landscape 1280 × 800 or higher suggested; check the actual device layout.
  • Power: chargers for the server and every tablet; plan reliable power for the router and audience screen.
  • Software: the current server source package uses Python 3.12. Android Studio is needed to build the APK from source, but is not needed to run an installed APK.
  • Initial setup: allow internet access for required downloads and configure the Windows firewall for the local server.
  • Network ports: Kyorugi uses HTTPS 8444 for scoring and HTTP 8445 for the public certificate download service.
  • Panel: three judges are the usual setup; two judges must both agree. A single judge is for practice.

The Android source package is not a precompiled APK. Windows installation and a physical-tablet APK build have not been verified here. Confirm the supplied release, hardware compatibility and licence terms before purchasing or using it at an event.

Questions organisers ask

Know your setup before match day.

Does scoring need the internet?

No. Live scoring runs on the local network. Internet is needed for initial software downloads.

Does it need electronic protectors?

No electronic scoring headgear, chest protectors or scoring gloves are required for manual judge input.

How do judge inputs become points?

Under the standard profile, two matching judge actions within the configured agreement window award points. The default window is 1,000 milliseconds. Test your selected settings before competition.

Can we correct a mistake?

Yes. The operator has score and penalty correction controls and confirms round results.

Can judges use a browser?

Yes. The browser judge interface connects to the same local server. The device must trust the server certificate and be paired and approved.

Can the public see the score?

Yes. Extend the PC desktop to a TV or projector and open the audience display.

Is video review equipment included?

The system has replay-request controls and an optional read-only IVR integration. Cameras and separate video review software are not automatically included.
